July 4th

We spent the 4th of July at Payson Lakes. We had never been there before, but have been wanting to go for a while. My mom and dad, Kelli's family, and the Gockens were all there with us. The boys especially had fun! They were in a kayak or canoe the entire time! Just 10 minutes after we found the perfect spot along the banks, a man and his wife brought their canoe to shore and offered to let us use it for the day. The man even went to his truck to get a bunch of life jackets for us. We were very grateful for their hospitality! This is the first run out in the canoe...Dave, Bryce, Brayden, and Jaron.
Grandpa Goddard, Tori, Dave and the boys.
The boys spent most of their time in the kayaks, which were 1 and 2 man. They loved how easy they were to maneuver and I know they loved being out on their own on the lake. Here is Jaron taking Lindsay for a ride.
Here is Grandma and Bryce. Bryce really thought he was in heaven when he started doing the paddling himself. After this ride, he started taking out the kayak by himself. He has already asked several times since coming home when we are going to go kayaking again.
Here is Brayden playing in the tube.
We had a great day! Natalie spent most of it with Faith again. The adults had fun relaxing and visiting. I am sure we will head to Payson Lakes again sometime soon. We came home exhausted, ate dinner late, and headed to bed...no energy left for fireworks for us. We are saving our enthusiasm for fireworks for our neighborhood 24th of July celebration.
